Lansing United will hold tryouts for its United Women’s Soccer (UWS) team on Saturday May 5th from 11-1 at the East Lansing Soccer Complex.  Registration for the tryout is just $40 and includes a Lansing United dri-fit shirt.  Registration can be completed by using this link.

Lansing United will be one of seven teams participating in the Midwest Conference of the UWS.  Joining Lansing United in the Midwest Conference are the Detroit Sun, Fort Wayne Gryphons, Genesse FC, Grand Rapids FC, Indy Premier and Michigan Legends.  The top four finishers at the end of the regular season will qualify for the Midwest Conference playoffs.  The top seed will face the #4 seed in one semifinal with the #2 and #3 seed meeting in the other semifinal.  The 2 winners will play for the Midwest Conference Championship.

“We have already signed some very good players and the roster is shaping up nicely,” said Lansing United Head Coach/GM Jason Crist.  “But we want to make sure that we are looking at all of the talented soccer players in the Mid-Michigan area and this tryout will give us the opportunity to do so.”

Lansing United will open the 2018 UWS season with four games away from home.  After that Lansing United will host five of our last six games at home.  Archer Stadium at the East Lansing Soccer Complex will be the home venue for Lansing United for the 2018 season.  The season begins with a trip to the west side of Michigan and a matchup with the defending National Champions Grand Rapids FC on Sunday May 13th.  Lansing United will play Grand Rapids FC, Genesee FC, Indy Premier and Michigan Legends both home and away.  Lansing will travel to Fort Wayne and the Detroit Sun will visit Lansing.

Lansing United is once again proud to partner with the Sparrow Foundation in raising funds for the Herbert-Herman Cancer Center.  Soon the club will announce a special third jersey that will be auctioned off after a selected home game with all the proceeds being donated to the Herbert-Herman Cancer Center.
