Lansing United Open Tryouts Set for April

Lansing United will hold its annual open tryouts Saturday, April 4 at the East Lansing Soccer Complex.

Head coach and general manger Eric Rudland and the Lansing United coaching staff will be hosting two separate sessions from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Limited space is available for each session and a fee of $55 will charged to each participant.

Last season, United defender Austin Dunn and forward Tyler Pasher joined United after a successful April 2014 tryouts.

Dunn ended up being the only player to start in all 17 of United’s games in the 2014 season. The defender also played in all 1,560 minutes for Lansing.

Pasher played in only 10 games due to injury and being away from the team on trial with professional teams, but contributed three goals and six assists while on the field for Lansing.

Both Dunn and Pasher were also honored as members of the National Premier Soccer League’s 2014 Supporters’ XI.
